2 Year Warranty
Customers who purchase a Back Doctor Massage Chair are automatically covered by a free comprehensive warranty for 2 years. This means that we will cover the cost of spare parts, as well as the cost of having them sent to you for the entire duration of your warranty period.
If you live within range of one of our Back Doctor metro areas, you will also be covered for the cost of having a Service Technician sent out to fix your massage chair in your home for you!

Back Doctor Warranty Policy
SECTION 1. Warranty Policy for Massage Chair Products
- WHAT THE WARRANTY COVERS
Back Doctor Massage Chairs provides a free comprehensive warranty for 2 years after purchase. The cost of spare parts and the cost of freight or postage of spare parts will be covered for the duration of the warranty. For customers that live within range of a Back Doctor Service Technician, this warranty will also cover in-home service.
Back Doctor products purchased for commercial use are covered by a free 6-month replacement parts warranty. Commercial products are also eligible to be repaired by Back Doctor Service Technicians if they are within range of a recognised metro zone, but labour is not included.
Current metro zones include:
- Melbourne (within 30km of CBD)
- Sydney (within 30km of CBD)
- Adelaide (within 20km of CBD)
- Brisbane (within 20km of CBD)
- Gold Coast (within 10km)
- Canberra (within 20km of CBD)
- Perth (within 20km of CBD)
- Hobart (within 15km of CBD)

- TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF LIMITED WARRANTY
All warranty services outlined herein are only applicable to Back Doctor Massage Chairs purchased from an approved Back Doctor supplier.
Proof of purchase must be supplied by the customer before any warranty or service claim is raised. Back Doctor Massage Chairs staff cannot provide any purchase identification to customers.
The company, Back Doctor Massage Chairs, will provide warranty services against manufacturer defects for a period of 2 years (unless otherwise stated) from the date of purchase.
Warranty services will cover motorised, mechanical and electrical parts, as well as normal wear and tear of fabric due to correct use. Warranty services will not cover: incorrect electrical supply, power surges, acts of nature such as floods or fire, or damage due to improper use or setup of the product.
The terms and conditions of this warranty are governed under the laws of Australia and any applicable Australian laws, notwithstanding the rights of the customer as a consumer.
By accepting the terms of the limited warranty, you agree to the following:
- Back Doctor Massage Chairs reserves the right to refuse warranty service if in its opinion, it is found the product was not used according to instructions or was negligently misused.
- Back Doctor Massage Chairs reserves the right to replace a faulty product with a similar product of similar functions. The substitute product will not exceed the value of the original product. If the substitute product offered is declined, Back Doctor Massage Chairs shall no longer be responsible for the product under the limited warranty.
- An extended warranty program may only be purchased within 7 days of purchase of a brand new product. An extended warranty program may not be purchased for a product that has previously undergone service or repair.
- The limited warranty is void if the product is found to be modified, tampered with, or repaired by an unauthorised person.
- The limited warranty is valid only within Australia.
- Back Doctor Massage Chairs reserves the right to vary the terms and conditions of this warranty policy without further notice.
- TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF EXTENDED WARRANTY PROGRAMS
By purchasing a 4-Year Extended Warranty in conjunction with a Back Doctor Massage Chair for private use, the warranty period outlined above is extended by an additional 2 years to a total of 4 years. All other terms and conditions of the aforementioned warranty apply to any extended warranty program.
This means that for metro customers, the 4-year extended warranty also covers the cost of in-home service and repairs by registered Back Doctor Service Technicians. The warranty does not cover the cost of a call-out fee for a product in which no fault can be found.
Regional and rural customers who reside outside of the zone of a Back Doctor Service Technician will be covered for replacement parts. These include motorised, mechanical and electrical parts, as well as normal wear and tear of fabric due to correct use. Should the chair need to be returned to a designated service centre for repair, shipping will be at the customer’s expense. Once the repair is completed, the massage chair will be shipped back to the customer at their expense.
The terms and conditions of this warranty are governed under the laws of Australia and any applicable Australian laws, notwithstanding the rights of the customer as a consumer.
SECTION 2. Warranty Policy for Massage Accessory Products
- WHAT THE WARRANTY COVERS
The Back Doctor Accessory Warranty covers the cost of a replacement product of similar or equal value in the event of a manufacturer’s fault or defect for the first year after purchase. Customers must return their faulty product to a designated service centre for assessment. The limited warranty does not cover the cost of return shipping.
The product will be replaced with a new and operational product, which will be sent back to the customer at no expense.
- TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF LIMITED WARRANTY
All warranty services outlined herein are only applicable to Back Doctor accessory products purchased from an approved Back Doctor supplier.
